| Member | Sign-in provider (Google or Apple), its account identifier, the email address it shares (an Apple relay address if you use Hide My Email), internal member number, sign-up time, time you confirmed being 14 or older | Act Art. 15(1)(iv) (concluding and performing a contract) |
| Session | Hash of the sign-in token, provider, creation, last-use and expiry times | Act Art. 15(1)(iv) |
| Reading records | Books you enter (title, author, ISBN, pages, cover choice), reading status, dates and progress, reading plans, quotes and notes, tasks (title, date, time), shelves, yearly goal, note positions and display settings | Act Art. 15(1)(iv) |
| Save control | Record versions, save receipts, identifiers and times of backup, restore and deletion operations | Act Art. 15(1)(iv) |
| Apple unlink | (With Sign in with Apple) the refresh token Apple issues, stored encrypted, to disconnect ODDPAGE | Act Art. 15(1)(iv) |
| Sign-in records | (Created at sign-in) internal member number, sign-in time, method (Google or Apple, web or app), IP address | Act Art. 15(1)(ii); Protection of Communications Secrets Act Art. 15-2 and its Enforcement Decree Art. 41 |
| Usage logs | (Created automatically) IP address, requested address, browser and device type (User-Agent), time and result of requests. For save, restore and deletion operations: your member number converted so it cannot be turned back, the operation type, success or failure and the kind of error, the time, and how many records the operation added or changed (not their content) | Act Art. 15(1)(vi) (legitimate interest in running the Service reliably and securely) |
| Request-limit records | (Created automatically) your member number or IP address converted with a secret key (it cannot be turned back; the IP value changes every day), request counts and limit times, check values for backup restore requests | Act Art. 15(1)(vi) (legitimate interest in blocking excessive repeated requests and abuse) |

(2) We do not define or request sensitive information (Act Art. 23), unique identifiers (Act Art. 24) or passwords, and we do no advertising, marketing or behavioural tracking. Whatever you type into free-text fields (quotes, notes, tasks) is stored as part of your reading records; we do not analyse it or use it beyond Article 1. Please do not enter sensitive information, such as health or beliefs, or other people’s personal information there.
(3) Sources: member information comes from Google or Apple after you confirm you are 14 or older on the sign-in page and complete their sign-in; reading records and inquiries come from you; sessions, sign-in records, save control data, usage logs, request-limit records, operator access logs and deletion records are created as the Service is used.
(4) The iPad app handles the following only on the device and does not send it to us: barcode-scan video is not stored, and only the recognised ISBN is used for book lookup. Quote from a photo recognises a selected image only on the device, without uploading or separately saving the image. The selected text syncs as a reading record only after you review it, insert it into a draft and save the record. Recognition tools download as public Service files on first use. Record searches and image/PDF creation also run on the device; export uses only the file-saving or sharing action you choose; daily reminder times and text, timer state and some display settings stay on the device. Task titles and times are reading records stored on our servers; the app uses them to schedule task reminders on the device.
(5) So you can read and write without an internet connection, the Service stores the following on your device (the web browser’s or the iPad app’s storage). It stays on the device and is sent to our servers only when it syncs.
- Device copy: your account’s reading records as last confirmed by our servers (all reading records in Article 2(1): books, status and progress, plans, quotes and notes, tasks and so on). It holds no sign-in token or other credentials.
- Changes not yet synced: records written or edited offline or while saving. They sync after you are online again and our servers confirm it is the same account; if they conflict with changes from another device or a save cannot be confirmed, they are kept, not deleted.
- Public screen files: page files, fonts and book cover images that are the same for every user. They contain no personal information.
Article 3 (Retention)
(1) We keep personal information only for the periods set by law or announced when it is collected.
(2) While you use the Service:
- Reading records and save control data: until your account deletion completes. Deleted books, quotes and notes are kept in Recently Deleted for 30 days, then removed from operational storage by scheduled cleanup. You may permanently delete them earlier. Inactivity alone never deletes them. Downloaded backups and offline device copies follow the device-storage explanation below.
- Member information and the Apple unlink token: until your account deletion completes.
- Sessions: 30 days after last use or 180 days after sign-in, whichever comes first (use is recorded in 5-minute steps, so expiry can come up to 5 minutes early).
- Sign-in records: 93 days from sign-in (at least the 3 months required by Article 41 of the Enforcement Decree of the Protection of Communications Secrets Act).
- Usage logs: up to 7 days from creation.
- Request-limit records: 24 hours after the last request.
- Operator access logs: 1 year from creation, or 2 years where the Standards require.
- Inquiries: 1 year after the answer, or until an ongoing dispute or a legal retention duty ends.
(3) When your account deletion completes:
- Reading records, and the provider account identifier and email address in your member information, are deleted from the production database, together with the device copy and unsynced changes on the device used for the deletion.
- Request-limit records are deleted once the period in (2) (24 hours after the last request) has passed.
- We ask Apple to disconnect ODDPAGE; on success the Apple unlink token is deleted at once, and if a temporary error prevents it, the token is kept encrypted for retries for at most 7 days from completion.
- Sessions are kept until each expires (at most 180 days) so other devices can clean up; a deleted account’s session cannot read or save records.
- Sign-in records are kept until 93 days from sign-in, as the Protection of Communications Secrets Act requires.
- Operator access logs are kept for the periods in (2), as the Standards require.
- The deletion record is kept for 180 days from completion (the time within which every session issued before deletion expires) and then deleted. It holds no email, provider identifier or reading records, but can be linked to sign-in records with the same internal member number while those are kept.
(4) Database restore points for failure recovery are kept automatically for up to 30 days, so information deleted from the production database may remain in them during that time. They are technical copies from which the Operator cannot remove individual items, and they expire automatically. We use them only to recover from failures, and even then the deletion record prevents a deleted account from being restored.
Article 4 (Destruction)
(1) Personal information that is no longer needed, because its retention period has ended or its purpose is achieved, is destroyed without delay.
(2) Procedure: information to be deleted on account deletion is deleted as part of the deletion; expired books, quotes and notes in Recently Deleted, sessions, sign-in records, save/restore/deletion operation records in the usage logs, request-limit records, operator access logs, deletion records and Apple unlink tokens are removed by an automatic job that runs every 5 minutes.
(3) Information kept under other laws (Act Art. 21(1), proviso), separately from other information and only for that purpose: sign-in records (internal member number, sign-in time, method, IP address) under the Protection of Communications Secrets Act Art. 15-2 and its Enforcement Decree Art. 41, for 93 days from sign-in; and operator access logs under Art. 8 of the Standards, for 1 year (2 years where applicable).
(4) Method: electronic files are deleted so they cannot be recovered or reproduced; copies in the restore points of Article 3(4) expire as described there. We keep no paper copies.
(5) Backup files you downloaded and data on your devices (Article 2(5)) are yours to manage and delete. When you sign out or sign in with another account, the previous account’s device copy is hidden at once; changes not yet synced may stay on the device so they can be recovered when you sign in with the same account again. We do not add our own encryption to device copies, so on a shared device sign out after use and use the device lock. Deleting the app or clearing the browser’s site data deletes the device copy, including any changes not yet synced. “Sign out on all devices” and account deletion act on our servers; they cannot instantly erase copies on other devices that are offline. When such a device reconnects and our servers confirm the sign-out or deletion, its device copy is deleted, and for a deletion its unsynced changes are deleted too.
Article 5 (Provision to third parties)
We process personal information only within Article 1 and do not provide it to third parties except where Articles 17 and 18 of the Act allow, such as with your consent or under a specific legal provision. We currently provide no personal information to third parties.
Article 6 (Entrustment of processing)
(1) To provide the Service, we entrust the following processing:
| Processor | Entrusted work |
|---|---|
| Cloudflare, Inc. | Running the website and app servers, storing and backing up the database, storing usage logs |
(2) The entrustment is governed by the Cloudflare Customer Data Processing Addendum, which forms part of Cloudflare’s Self-Serve Subscription Agreement. It prohibits processing beyond the entrusted work and covers technical and organisational safeguards, management of sub-processors, notification of breaches, and return or deletion of personal information when the agreement ends. We supervise that Cloudflare processes personal information safely.
(3) Under the addendum, Cloudflare, Inc. may further entrust some work to its affiliates and other companies (sub-processors). Their names, work and countries are listed in Cloudflare’s published list (Cloudflare Sub-processors).
(4) We publish any change of the entrusted work or the processor in this policy without delay.
(5) This entrustment is processing and storage abroad; see Article 7.
Article 7 (Transfer abroad)
(1) Entrusting processing and storage abroad is necessary to conclude and perform our contract with you, so under Article 28-8(1)(iii)(a) of the Act we publish the following and transfer personal information abroad.
| Recipient | Cloudflare, Inc. (101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA); privacy contact dpo@cloudflare.com, privacyquestions@cloudflare.com |
|---|---|
| Countries | The United States, and the countries of the Cloudflare global network locations that handle requests to the Service or keep its data (the database and its restore points are kept at locations in the Asia-Pacific region). Current network locations are listed in Cloudflare’s network guide (cloudflare.com/network). |
| Information | Member information, sessions, reading records, save control data, Apple unlink token, sign-in records, usage logs, request-limit records, operator access logs and deletion records (Article 2(1)) |
| When and how | Each time you use the Service, over encrypted connections (HTTPS) |
| Purpose | Running servers, storing and backing up data to provide the Service |
| Retention | As in Article 3 |
| Refusal and its effect | You may refuse by not signing up or by deleting your account. The transfer is essential to the Service, so if you refuse you cannot use it. |
(2) Google LLC or Apple Inc. (USA), whichever you choose to sign in with, authenticate you on their own responsibility under their own privacy policies. We use the authorization code and ID token they return only to verify you and do not store them; as a result we keep the member information in Article 2(1) and, for Apple, the unlink token, which we send to Apple to disconnect ODDPAGE when you delete your account.
(3) For book lookups our server sends only the ISBN to the National Library of Korea (Republic of Korea), Open Library (Internet Archive, USA) and Google Books (Google LLC, USA), never your email address, member number or reading records.
Article 8 (Your rights and how to exercise them)
(1) You may at any time ask us to let you access (Act Art. 35), correct or delete (Art. 36), or stop processing (Art. 37) your personal information. If you are a minor aged 14 or over, you may exercise these rights yourself or through your legal representative.
(2) In the Service you can download all your reading records (Settings > Download my data), correct books and records directly, delete individual books and records, and delete your account (Settings > Delete account), handled as in Article 3(3).
(3) For other requests, write or email the contact in Article 12. We verify your identity promptly; the following time limits run from the day we receive your request:
- Access: within 10 days. If a justified reason prevents this, we tell you the reason and give access without delay once it ends.
- Correction or deletion: we investigate without delay, take the necessary action and tell you the result within 10 days.
- Stopping processing: we stop all or part of the processing without delay and tell you the result within 10 days.
(4) You may act through a legal representative or another person you authorise, who must submit a power of attorney in the form of Annex 11 of the Notice on Methods of Processing Personal Information.
(5) Access and stopping processing may be limited under Articles 35(4) and 37(2) of the Act, and deletion cannot be requested where another law specifies the information must be collected. If we refuse, we tell you why and how to object.
(6) If the automatic Apple unlink fails when you delete your account, you can remove ODDPAGE under “Sign in with Apple” in your Apple Account settings.
(7) We make no decisions solely by automated systems that significantly affect your rights or obligations (Act Art. 37-2).
Article 9 (Children under 14)
The Service is intended for people aged 14 and over. We do not run a process for obtaining a legal guardian’s consent to process information of children under 14, so they may not sign up. Sign-in proceeds only after you confirm on the sign-in page that you are 14 or older, and for a new account we record when you confirmed. This is a self-declaration; we do not verify age with identity documents, so if we learn that we hold information of a child under 14, we delete the account and its information without delay.
Article 10 (Security measures)
Under Article 29 of the Act and Article 30 of its Enforcement Decree, we take these measures:
- Administrative: the Operator handles personal information personally and reviews operator access logs monthly.
- Access control: admin tools are limited to one designated account; personal information is stored separately per member; forged cross-site requests and excessive repeated requests are blocked.
- Encryption: all traffic is encrypted (HTTPS); sign-in tokens are stored only as hashes; the Apple unlink token is stored encrypted; no passwords are processed.
- Access logs: operator access logs are kept for at least one year, protected against modification and reviewed monthly.
- Physical: personal information is stored in the data centres of our processor, Cloudflare, Inc.; we keep no separate physical media.
Article 11 (Cookies)
(1) A cookie is a small piece of information a website’s server sends to your browser; it is stored on your device and sent back to the server automatically when you visit. We use only essential cookies: booking_session keeps you signed in (up to 180 days), and booking_oauth protects the sign-in round trip against forged requests (created when sign-in starts and deleted when it finishes, at most 10 minutes). We also use browser storage (localStorage, IndexedDB and similar) and Service Worker storage for the device copy and unsynced changes in Article 2(5) and for display settings. We use no advertising or analytics cookies, collect no behavioural information and let no third party collect it.
(2) You can refuse or delete cookies in your browser settings (for example Safari Settings > Privacy & Security, or Chrome Settings > Privacy and security), In the iPad app, signing out deletes the sign-in cookie, and deleting the app deletes its cookies and device copy. If you refuse essential cookies you cannot use the parts of the Service that need sign-in.
Article 12 (Privacy officer and complaints)
(1) The Operator is responsible for all processing of personal information and has designated the following privacy officer to handle complaints and remedies:
| Privacy officer | Changwook Kang (Operator) Email: rkdrns417@naver.com |
|---|---|
| Access requests | Received and handled by the privacy officer directly. |
(2) You may raise any privacy question, complaint or request for remedy with the privacy officer, and we answer and act without delay.
Article 13 (Remedies)
You may apply for dispute resolution or advice on privacy infringements to the Personal Information Dispute Mediation Committee (1833-6972, www.kopico.go.kr), the KISA Privacy Infringement Report Center (118, privacy.kisa.or.kr), the Supreme Prosecutors’ Office (1301, www.spo.go.kr) or the Korean National Police Agency (182, ecrm.police.go.kr).
Article 14 (Pseudonymised information and additional use)
We do not pseudonymise personal information for statistics, scientific research or archiving in the public interest under Article 28-2 of the Act, and we make no additional use or provision under Articles 15(3) and 17(4).
Article 15 (Changes)
(1) This proposal is withdrawn and will not take effect. Ordinary deletion under the current policy is unchanged; only explicitly selected moves use the separate optional recovery information. (2) We announce changes in the Service at least 7 days before they take effect, or at least 30 days before for significant changes to your rights, such as new items collected or changed purposes. (3) The current notice: October 5, 2026 privacy policy.
